Here's where I post new jewelry, experiments with new materials and techniques, or talk about conventions I've been to. I might talk about brick and mortar stores or online shops where I've bought fun stuff, give an occasional review and also some ramblings about the progress (or lack of it) towards turning a hobby into a part-time business.

More Photo Background Ideas
Pulled out a couple new background ideas, shown at thumbnail size - these have texture but because they're white and beige, would they be better than using color or pattern?
Here's a set showing the different uses, but flat instead of on a bust like the ones shown in my previous post.
Here's another idea I had, in 3 versions - does adding the bag (just for the teaser shot) detract?
Dawno, I love the fabric behind the black/white lanyard on the first pic. Not so much the linen though. As for the bag, it looks nice sitting in the background, but detracts from the beads left inside the bag. I love the close up pictures. They show such detail - I can even tell that you use scrimp beads for your finishing - Love them. Beautiful work. Sandi
I like the first background better; it's less distracting. I can't really see much in the bag version; it's too distracting.

Thank you, Sandi and Lisa - I think I like that first white background best, too. It's a simple pattern and subtle since it's white on white.
ReplyDeleteYay for scrimps! I was so frustrated working with regular crimps on my lanyards that when I found scrimps it was a dream come true.
