Extra! Monday Miscellany - Special Evening Edition

I've started writing my posts a day ahead and then scheduling them for an early morning post time. But this is something I didn't get into this morning's post as I only finished it today and I wanted to share my first attempt at a steampunk style ring with you.

The ring base is from Accessories Susan, ornate oxidized silver plated brass, adjustable band, to which I've added Swarovski flat backed crystals and miscellaneous watch pieces. E6000 glue used to secure the parts. Still needs cleanup and shining up, but I think I'm done adding bits and pieces to it.

I like what you did with the ring. The base is almost pretty by itself. I haven't tried Steampunk yet. List is too long.

The base is lovely - there's a bit of engraving, like a monogram, in it. Comes in different metals, too. I have the brass ox, copper ox and silver ox colors. Want to find the right cabochons and settings as well, but like you said "list is too long" :-D

Ooh, how did you do that? What a nice way to create on a smaller scale. So fun!! But, I repeat, how did you do that? :) If it's easy, I think it would be fun for steampunk customers to stop by and create their own pieces. (Well, I guess I'll just speak for myself, wish I could come!)

Glue mostly, Lisa. Sticky, messy and annoying glue. Got the parts as a gift from my daughter (plus some I ordered from Steampunk Supply on Etsy)and just started gluing.

Glue.

Icky, glue.

Did I mention, glue?

I really love the way this ring turned out Dawno! The Steampunk is so fun to play with isn't it? You do a great job getting the look right!
