Mid-Week Mutterings - Another Valentine's Day Idea
One 16" strand of white 4mm glass "pearls"
16 small, light pink heart shaped glass beads
3 larger, light pink heart shaped glass beads
1 lampwork heart bead (I used the criss cross heart)
1 - 2" or longer headpin (I wanted to be sure I had plenty of wire for a large loop to fit around the toggle width)
2 - 1" or longer headpins for the pink glass hearts
1" of silver colored chain
Beading wire - I used Soft Touch Premium Trios - medium - from SoftFlex
Finishing findings (I used Scrimps, wire guardians, toggle - you could have it close in the back and use a jumpring/lobster claw combo or box clasp)
The picture above is possibly the 'first draft'. As I examined it in the photo, I started to think that I may want the larger hearts lower on the neckline - maybe even right at the ends near the toggle. I'll also probably swap the positions of the focal hearts, hanging the dark pink glass one from the circle and the lampwork one from the strand/circle connection loop.
Also, while I haven't officially made any New Year's resolutions, I'm trying to use up the things I already have in my stash before getting anything new. If that weren't the case, I would really liked to have used a simple heart shaped toggle, instead of the circle one shown. I'll re-work it soon and show you the final version.
